One side would be toasted more and you’d have to flip the bread or whatever you’re toasting and toast it again to get even toasting. So I really wanted something that was more consistent. I researched a lot of toasters and unfortunately there are so many options and so many opinions, it was really hard to choose. But this Oster toasted had the highest percentage of 5 star reviews by a lot and other video reviews showed even toasting so I decided to try it and I’m so glad we did. I just got the two slicer this time instead of the four. - The display light front works great for me whether the lights in the kitchen are on or off. (Took a pic of both for reference). The only time it was a little harder to see is if it’s right underneath our under cabinet lights but even then it wasn’t bad. -We love the countdown feature but sometimes the kids get confused and think they selected the level 6 toasting since the timer starts at the top and I have to remind them that it’s just the timer. -The quick peek and extra 30 sec toasting are also awesome features. I took pics of levels 2,3 and 4 toasting. It toasted evenly on each side. Occasionally I’ll toast it for 30 seconds more. Levels 3-4 are the ideal doneness for us.
