After a visit, my son found this online and told me I needed to order it so I did. After watering my shrubs, I dusted them lightly with it and put it in my birdbaths as well. The granules are heavy enough that I could carefully empty my birdbaths and not dump them out which I really liked. In a couple of weeks, I could tell the difference and it wasn't long before I was able to weed my flowers and sit on my porch without being attacked constantly. We have a house on a Caribbean island where Chickungunya caused thousands of cases. Since mosquitos for the most part only range a couple hundred feet, we were intent on keeping them away from our house and property. We used Altosid monthly around the garden and in the underbrush and the mosquito population diminished to a couple here and there. Altosid along with mosquito bed nets treated with permethrin really do the trick.
