The Smart home SELECT Impedance Matching Knob-Style Stereo Volume Control connects between the speaker-level output of an amplifier, receiver, or speaker selector and your speakers. The Volume Control allows you to adjust the volume of a pair of speakers in the same manner as you would use a dimmer switch to adjust lighting levels in your home. The device allows you to locally adjust the volume of remotely located speakers by attenuating the amplifier signal, without the need or hassle of going to the amplifier to adjust the volume. So you can easily control sound levels throughout your home, even if the audio/video system is located in another room, entertainment cabinet or closet. This volume control features an impedance-magnifying design, which will magnify the impedance of connected speakers, while allowing all 12 steps to adjust the volume of the sound - offering impedance protection for your amplifier. This product is also rated for 100 Watts per channel, unlike other similar volume controls that are only rated 50W - an important feature to consider if you enjoy listening to music at higher volumes and don't want to experience any attenuation or 'pops'. This controller uses a slider for adjusting the volume throughout a wide range of listening levels; a Smart home SELECT Impedance Matching Knob-Style Stereo Volume Control is also available, sold separately. Removable speaker connectors make installation quick and easy and a screw less decorator-style wall plate has been included to give this indoor, in-wall volume control a professional finish.
