Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is a cinematic, interactive experience that lets you step inside a galaxy far, far away into the role of a smuggler operating near Mustafar, the fiery planet that Darth Vader calls home. **Q: Will this work on a US spec PS4 console?**
A: my Daughter lives in America and she has a PS4.  according to her the games we buy here are not compatible, it could be because our systems work on a pal system, where America works on ntsc. I know that the films are not compatible, because of regions, we are region 2 where America is region 1. It might be worth talking to some of the companies that sell the games, like Shopto, they told me that you can buy the game vouchers in Dollars which you then send the code via email to whoever lives there and they can download the code onto their system and buy the games themselves, off the Playstation store. hope this helps

**Q: Are any game modes suitable for under 16?**
A: No as it's rated 16 for strong violence according to the PEGI website which is for the whole game not just parts of it. VR games are also often more intense than non-VR games when it feels convincingly like you are face to face with what's happening in the game. It's a 16 for a reason if they could have gotten away with a 12 by cutting stuff out out of the game, they would have done it if they thought they could make more money that way. That happens with films a lot.

**Q: Will this work on ps5**
A: I believe so, the game loaded and downloaded an update once I put the disk in the ps5. Haven’t actually played it on the 5 yet though

**Q: Do you need the VR Move “sticks” for this game?**
A: yes, the move controllers are required.
new ones are expensive, so I bought 2 second hand ones for £20 and new batteries for £12.
they are a bit fiddly to replace but any competent diy-er can do it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ More of an experience rather than a game

There are gameplay elements to this, but I do feel that this is more of a virtual reality experience rather than a score based game. As for calibration with the ps camera and headset you do need to make sure that you're sitting within range and will have to keep recalibrating often through the experience as sometimes the orientation etc goes a bit funny. Some of the audio in the game/experience also sounds faulty as well like a cd is scratched (I've checked on YouTube and this does seem to be a software issue right throughout the production rather than there being an issue with just my disc) none the less it disappears as quick as it appeared, but this detracts from the VR experience and makes you wonder if there is something wrong with the disc. I also had an issue with the software once installed and when going back to play the experience once again where the PS4 was telling me that the copied disc data was corrupt, but this was sorted with a quick delete of the game and reloading. Weird. The experience is set in 3 parts which is a little odd, first time I've ever seen a PS4 vr game/experience split into 3 parts but this does help to make loading times minimal I'm guessing. The entire experience isn't very long though and replayability of the main story just isn't there. You can however enter the jedi dojo where you can hone your lightsabre weilding skills for a bit more playability. The game lets you experience using the force, lightsabres, climbing, using lock picks (I think they call it the hydrospanner) pick up certain objects and interact with the ship you are on in part 1 etc so there's quite a few interactive bits for you to accomplish such as pushing the ship into hyperspace, scanning the ship for damage and so on. Overall its a good experience but feel that this could have been much better graphically and had a longer story line. If you're a starwars fan like myself then this is a nice addition to your VR games/experience but I was left wanting more that this just doesn't provide. I would love to see a dedicated starwars battlefront game for example in VR such as the rogue mission in VR that is a free DLC for owners of battlefront and own a vr headset (this particular short vr mission is very very good and would love to see a full blown game of this) There are some good elements to the experience that make you feel that you're there, such as when you are in space above the planet Mustafa but then there are some elements that are darkly lit and you can see the VR haze behind which detracts from the experience. None the less for starwars fans this is a good experience and whilst you only sort of practice your jedi skills a little, you'll want to wield your lightsabre several times and try recreating those signature moves we all love from the characters. Decent experience/interaction but way to short.
