Those measurments are at its broadist dimentions ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Standard type sharps container *by W***T on January 22, 2014* This sharps container is similar to the type found in most hospitals and medical offices.The top is a simple drop top WITH a safety flap anti-stick feature. Once you drop the sharp into the top, it sits on a plastic flap that will drop the sharp either by weight or by pulling a tab on the top toward you. It then swings back up and the plastic flap separates the contents from the outside. When the container gets too full, this mechanism will stop working. Usually, you can shake the box to get a few more sharps inside. The entire top can be separated from the red container if you apply enough force and work hard enough at it. Small children would have an extremely difficult time removing the top. I doubt most could remove it.This is a good size. It is typical of the size found on hospital walls. This container can last quite a long time if you are conservative about the contents. Such as using a strong pair of snips/scissors to cut off the needle end of an insulin syringe or separating a needle from a syringe that has a luer lock or catheter tip connection.I am pleased with the quality, size, flap closure and price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *by J***Z on June 9, 2024* These are great for sharps at the tattoo shop. -wall mount sold separately ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for larger pen shots. *by L***. on February 16, 2024* For shot pens that are usually too large to put in regular sharps containers.
