Is this case approved by the FAA for commercial flying within the states?

Doesn’t say so. I think you will have a problem with the batteries on a commercial flights.

I wish this would accommodate the drone with the braces. Any future plans to?

You can easily cut the foam to accommodate your braces.

Are the batteries charged with a usb c cable?
