It should come with 2 wheels. 1 with grit and one to polish. Great sharpener! **Q: is the paper wheel going to load up with paste and stop working? if so how is the paper wheel rejuvenated? I see the cotton wheel has a process .** A: The compound (paste) wears off and is reapplied with each sharpening. It does not build up. Eventually (200 sharpenings) the wheel gets somewhat loaded with metal, which is cleaned up with sandpaper.
