After removing my large chainring I went to tighten the chainring fixing bolts and they simply bottomed out, yes they got tight BUT the middle chainring and this bash guard both wobbled. After some further investigation I realized the bashguard was about 4/100ths of an inch thinner than the chainring it replaced at the attachment point. I tried flipping it over but while that stopped the bolts from bottoming it wasn't as secure because the heads of the male bolt ends are meant to recess into the provided recesses. Being a mechanic I didn't want to sent it back or find another so I modified the female side of my chainring nuts by filing off about 5/100ths of an inch. It was a real hassle since I only had a flat file and holding a the small nut was nearly impossible but I eventually got it done and all was right. I'm writing this in the hopes it saves someone else the hassle or at least they know what they are getting into. Besides the fitting issue it looks like a well made product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Good Bashguard - Works Very Well! *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2013* I use this bashguard with a 32T x 104BCD singlespeed chainring i have installed on my Xootr 20in adult bike. Before installing this bashguard, the chain would fall off to the right side of the chainring if conditions were right and that was quite frequently. It solved a big problem really, and it makes the bike more enjoyable to ride and safer too, because the chain would drop off even while in the middle of an intersection while crossing the street. It is well made machined aluminum.
