Why do these bulbs have an energy class rating of F, when other makes have an A rating?

The rating advertised is based on the old rating, there maybe some stock with boxes showing the old rating, i have had a mixture of both delivered. They are now rated 'f' which if you compare with the old rating it is equivilent to a+ or better. As previously explained companies have vastly improved efficiency so a new rating system was needed. It does not mean they are not efficient as claimed by another persons answer, they are just plain wrong!

Mine arrived sealed with sellotape, is this normal?

No is not normal. Mine stopped working after leaving the good review.

Is there a iphone app that i can add all my smart home devices to that will give it the full functions, tapo app wont let me add any other brand names

Some basic apps are amazon alexa and google assistant. More advanced home assistants are smart things (AEOTEC), hubitat and home assistant but for the last two you also need some HUBS. You could also try using siri shortcuts for iphone users. MY personal assistant is amazon alexa since it is compatible with A LOT OF DEVICES and brands.
