I read the mixed reviews before ordering them but I liked the way they looked so much I decided that I'd have to judge for myself. Upon receiving them, I placed one on my foot and immediately knew they were not for me. The length was fine, but the top of the boot was too tight across the top of my foot. If you look at the picture of the boot, you'll notice that that the back heel panel looks like it isn't straight extending up from the sole, but rather diagonal, towards your foot and leg. That's what it felt like, too. It was too tight on my heel and back of my leg. I sent them back right away. And it is so comfortable to stand/walk in them for very long time without any heel pain.Note: if you have really wide feet, you probably should think twice about this boot.
