Your best bet is to check with the maker of the clay to see what they recommend. **Q: I used this in a ceramic pendant mold. The glass came out with little spikes on the edges, and the back is covered in kiln wash. What went wrong?** A: I think your fuse temperature wasn't high enough if it has rough edges. I stopped using this kiln wash because it does stick to your glass. You have to soak in vinegar and then scrub with Scotch Brite or steel wool to get it off. **Q: is this used instead of or inconjunction with kiln paper?** A: I use it instead of kiln paper. It works fine.
