Just get a new headset, seriously. I've had my HyperX Cloud Alpha headset for almost 9 years now, Hyperx stopped manufacturing this cord about a year or 2 ago, I thought I was out of luck and had to finally hang up my trusty headset. WRONG! This replacement works. I can't attest to the mic capabilities because I use this headset on my desktop. But no more crackling! It's $3 more expensive than the hyperx OG cord,it also will cut out if you move it in certain ways. Had to order a replacement as it started crackling about 3 days in. My old cable was worse,so I'm not sure if it's truly better. Will update in a week, see where we're at. (Edit 2,December) Well I got these in September, I've struggled more with them than I did with my original broken cable. I can't recommend these for anyone.
