## Overview

Reef Flux by Reef HD is a premium fluconazole-based aquarium treatment designed to combat fungal infections in fish while also effectively controlling bryopsis algae. Lab-tested for purity and free from additives, each pack contains 10 capsules that treat up to 100 gallons, making it a trusted choice for serious aquarists seeking both health and clarity in their aquatic environments.

## Description

Reef Flux is a fluconazole treatment that is effective against certain fungal fish infections. It contains no fillers or additives and is lab tested for purity. A notable side-effect of fluconazole is that it is extremely detrimental to bryopsis algae. Previously known as Algae Buster, Reef Flux is an aquarium fluconazole treatment that is effective against fungal fish infections. To avoid unintended nutrient spikes it should not be used in tanks with refugiums that have Caulerpa and Bryopsis.

Review: Worked well for me - I never really go the chemical route for my tank but this was the last resort for my 3 month long bryopsis battle. I went into panic mode about using this product while reading the reviews after I already dosed it. Needless to say, None of my inverts, fish or coral were unalived or stressed. 90% of my bryopsis is cleared up and it’s only day 7.My surface agitation is pretty good but I added an airstone to my sump for safety purposes. Dosed 10 capsules to my 150 gallon total volume. I’m not sure if they fixed what was harming the livestock or something I have done that prevented a major die off. I wouldn’t 100% trust this product again unless I see more positive reviews.
Review: Not good for some fish - After adding this into my tank. Three anthias dead. and LPS coral polyps shrinked. Hair algea still existing. It was not good for my tank.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this 100% fluconazole? No other Ingredients.**
A: I would like confirmation of this question also. According to everything I can find it is only 200mg of Fluconazole, but nowhere from ReefHD. Are additional ingredients not required to be disclosed on the label?

**Q: How many milligrams is each capsule?**
A: Should be 200mg. It doesn't say on the bottle, but 1 capsule treats 10 gallons and you need 20mg per gallon.

**Q: Is it normal to see no results in 8 days with green hair algae and bubble algae?**
A: I've only ever used this for Bryopsis, so it may be different for bubble and hair algae.
But it did take quite a while to go into effect for the Bryopsis. 8 days was not enough to see any change. It took closer to 14 days to see any reduction.

**Q: I have a 40gal. So, two doses here. Should I dose once per week or once every two weeks?**
A: I believe only the one time then add airstone for extra oxygen do a water change as directed on the bottle

### ⭐ Not good for some fish

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SOME REEF MEDS DO WORK AFTER ALL!!!
*by H***R on 8 August 2026*

I have been reefing for over 30 years and I never had to deal with Bryopsis until now 8/1/2026 so I just wanted to let people know that although we don’t like to try meds for out reef 🪸 because they never work or end up killing our coral this stuff really works. I manually removed as much as I could and I dosed 50% of the recommended dose on my 100 gallon so 5 pills 💊.. I waited two days and dosed the other 5 pills 💊 and within a day or two my bryopsis was all gone nothing was left it detached from all my rocks , corals and even snails 🐌.. it works it really does so if you use it hopefully you have the same experience I did with it 👍👍
