Review: A game changer - if you ride with one other person, don't hesistate - they are worth EVERY PENNY! - I bought these for me and my wife while we are out cycling and they are absolutely superb - a total game changer for us and make going out for a ride a LOT more enjoyable by removing the frustration of trying to communicate while we're riding. They are full duplex and communication is open all of the time so there's no vox delay and it's just like talking on the phone. They fit onto your helmet straps and are not intrusive and don't block you hearing other stuff around you. Be aware though that these ones only connect between two units - not more than that. I've not used these for phone calls or music but they do that as well. They don't seem to be affected much by wind noise - certainly going downhill fairly fast doesn't stop them working perfectly well. They have a range of around 200 meters realistically which is plenty for what we require. If you go out of range then they do reconnect automatically when you get back in range. The volume is perfectly adequate and even though I'm a little hard of hearing, I don't have them turned up anywhere near full. They charge with a USB C charger and if there was any criticism I could add it would only be that the microphone protection metal mesh gets squished a bit after a few uses but it has no functional effect and you can't see it. They appear to keep sound on continuously even when nobody is speaking - wonder about battery life but we have been ok for up to 3 hour rides. After power on is complete, hold the minus (-) button on the first unit until you hear it announce: "Intercom pairing.". Release the button. The unit will beep and flash red while attempting to pair with another unit. On the second unit, hold the minus (-) button until you hear the second unit announce: "Intercom pairing." It will also beep and flash red while attempting to pair with the first unit. Both units will stop beeping and will flash blue when pairing is successful. It could take a minute or two for pairing to occur. If unsuccessful, powered off, then on again and try again. Make sure the batteries are reasonably charged up and the units are close to each other while pairing. Contrary to a previous response, the units will pair via bluetooth WITHOUT ever using a phone or app. I use the method described above all the time without ever using my phone. **Q: Will it pair with multiple Sena helmets or only 2? Can that person still hear the others on a group ride?** A: Only one more rider **Q: What does it mean if no light is on when charging?** A: My own experience: The intercom is divided in two parts (one for the right ear and one for the left ear) amd when you connect the USB-C plug into the right part a red light turns on on the left part. After the unit is fully charged the light turns blue. In your case if you see no light, it probably mean the unit doesn't charge. Check if you fully inserted the USB-C plug into the unit and that you really use a USB-C cable. Check the source you plug it into or check you cable with an other device. I suggest you to contact the manufacturer. **Q: If you're connected to another headset and then switch to listen to music on my phone, can you easily go back to communicate with the other headset?** A: If you are asking is there seamless switching between intercom and music I believe the answer is no. Wanted something like my Cardo system I had for motorbike . Wasn’t sure I could get anything for cycling . Saw slot of a lot of options for smart helmets but wasn’t sure what would best suit me and my needs . Watched loads of utubes and reviews galore before deciding to buy a couple of senna pi pieces. Not cheap so I had to be sure . And these are great . I can swap them from helmet to helmet which was th e biggest drawback with smart helmets. I am able to select who I ride with by giving them a pair for the journey ( hubby/ daughter/ friend) the sound is great . Hear each other perfectly as though we are having conversation next to each other. Wire is tucked away easily in helmet , no complicated wires to install each time . Range is perfect, if your cycling together you never more than a mile apart. Came in perfect for safety. On a night ride out I lost my main light on the road which was then ran over by a car so I was riding depending a lot on hubby bike light for guidance or motorists with headlights . Even I though I went on foot paths to stay safe it was super scary - pitch black . We were easily able to communicate when I couldn’t see end of path. Hubby was able to stay close and keep me safe. If it wasn’t for these Sena pi’s , hubby would have riden off not knowing what had happened and I would have freaked out being on my own in total darkness .
