THIS STICK.I purchased the dark brown "Iron Bamboo" stick. It's very straight, only slight deviations from true, slight knots, as you'd expect from bamboo, however this does not feel like bamboo in the hand It's just as light, but it's a lot more solid. It feels like congealed air. It's so light in fact, that if you're looking for a staff for possible self-defense, I would look for a heavier one, perhaps the hickory version, although I can't vouch for that one because I do not own one. Still, it's a really great feeling stick in the hand.
