Those familiar with Litter Genie know that is is sometimes hard to determine where the beginning and the end of the refill. On several occasions replacing the bags, I have grabbed what was the middle of the bag supply and have to pull most of it out of the holder in order to fine the end, where you can tie a knot and install into the Genie. Once the bags are pulled out, it is nearly impossible to put them back so you are forced to throw it away. Similar is true for when the refill runs out. On some there is a black mark on the bag that indicates that you are running out. This is "mark" is not always there; so what happen is you fill the upper chamber of the Genie, pull out the trap door and the sand, etc. fall all over and it creates a big unsanitary mess. I have had to learn the signs that the refills are running out but mistakes will be made.
