So far this is been a very good humidistat
I've been using this for a little over a week it's been working flawlessly to set up with super easy and works well with the ink Bird app that I already had. It's keeping my hearing tobacco at a perfect humidity level between 60 and 65% and operates my humidifier very well if it continues to operate in this way I'll highly recommend also the Wi-Fi connection is very stable for me and I love that I can see the humidity level throughout the day even when I'm at work because when you're curing tobacco leaves it has to be kept within a very finite range or it'll ruin it so I have to rely on this to keep it within range in my very dry climate where I live I don't use the dehumidifier portion of it cuz I don't need that but the humidistat portion seems to work well and it does have a provision to calibrate the sensor so that you get accurate reading it also allows you to set minimum and maximum settings with an alarm if it goes beyond those settings after testing it deliberately making it go into alarm it worked right each time it activated my humidifier when it was supposed to and then turns it off when it's supposed to I also love that it gives you a graph over time of the humidity level the sensor is in that's very helpful to know how consistent the device is working

Simple to use (program) and does the job
Works great, easy to setup and use. configurable for 'F or 'C. I like the separate AC outlets on a dongle, but I wonder about the maximum load current capacity of the wiring. I've got a couple 200 watt grow lights and a 600/1500 watt space heater I run to grow tomatoes indoors during the winter. These would overload. I had been using a combo timer/switch with temperature control but after a few months this heavy load killed it. That worked for a while and then it's dinky power switch (relay) quit. So I found this Inkbird and ordered one. I'm sure it would do the job -for a while. As soon as I got it I noticed its quality. So I opened it up. It was an easy do. These days you can tell quality simply by seeing electronic components that have their markings still on the chips. -china removes these markings, but Taiwan and others do not. The Inkbird had all its markings and actually uses a rather powerful microprocessor to facilitate the control process. It remembers its settings when power off and that is an important feature. Very well. Since the last gadget died because of its relay failure, I decided to amp this up a bit. [pun intended] When your crop is dependent on not freezing to death -I hate failures. so.. The Inkbird uses a pair of relays -one for cooling and one for heating. These are separate from each other and rated for 15 amp 120 volt loading. Again, for a while... relays suffer horribly short lives when loaded to the max and cycling on/off many times as a thermostat will do. Then my epiphany.. A trick I use, is to construct a plug-in service box wired with 20 amp 120V grounded sockets, and with a solid-state relay, capable of at least 20 amps AC at 120V. I also use a 16 gage [or more] 3 wire power cord into this box. For extra credit, I use an expensive 'zero-crossing' type solid state switch (SSR). These run a bit hot when powering a 15+ Amp load so I add a big heat sink to the 'SSR' to help extend its life. This type of SSR uses a DC control (one/off) voltage between 3 and 35Vdc, so I add a small 12VDC wall-wart to switch the SSR, and let the Inkbird only power the wall-wart which in turn operates the SSR, which is very low wattage and thus a very light load on the relays inside the Inkbird. Note that this SSR box will operate a window AC as well. Add one of those Kill-A-Watt monitors and you can track the voltage, power and expense of your rig.

good adjustable heat
does what it should. balanced out my element that kept popping breaker. now i can cure cerakote without the hassle. oh yea. i made a homemade curing oven with this. easy peasy.

Needs better instructions
Ok. So, it does a good job at keeping it around 115 F, which is where you need it for making an herbal oil. It's supposed to keep it within the temperature range that you want, but in order to actually keep it at the temperature you want, you have to set it at 1 degree F higher. It's also supposed you to set it to go a certain amount of degrees above your set temperature, and a certain amount of degrees lower, at your decision. I found that it wouldn't go up to the degree above the temperature that I wanted, but it would let it dip to the lower temperature. That's why I said it's actually best to set it to 1 degree higher, so it will stay at the temperature you want. And so it doesn't allow it to slip to too low a temperature, set it to 1 degree lower in the temperature range as well. But, yes, it works beautifully once you do that. The issues: the instructions were terrible. I mean soooo terrible. I got so frustrated because it was so terrible. I had a hard time figuring it out. The manual was not detailed enough. Not to mention it keeps mentioning letters that weren't on the thermostat, and it had letters showing on the thermostat that weren't in the manual. The instructions were very hard to understand, and I had trouble just figuring out how to get it to the Fahrenheit setting, let alone figuring out how to use it. They definitely need better directions, that were a lot more detailed. The good news is if you can figure out out to use it, it's easier to use, and it works fairly decently.

This item is a life saver. Literally.
This product is highly effective in its function as a power regulator for fluctuating temperature conditions. Since initial set up, I have been able to greatly reduce the stress of worrying about the temperature of a reptile enclosure getting too hot during the day, or too cool at night, as this allows the heating and cooling systems of the vivarium I have plugged into it, to turn on and off, per my settings, by temperature of either C or F. Since my use for this item involves a live animal, there is no room for error, particularly in Summer daytimes when ambient room temperature can almost immediately rise substantially by a few degrees, as I am several floor levels up at my residence, so my location causes this rapid and considerable warm up in my home. A greenhouse effect is created in the vivarium when in this environment type, so it’s possible that near-immediate fatality could occur, much like when an animal or child is left in a car with the windows up. Accuracy of this controller is consistent and highly effective, as I monitor everything constantly, as, in addition, I use several temperature gauges that are separate from the controller’s, to use as cross checking. I especially like (and need) that the read out is digital, always lit bright red for temps, and green light dots each turn on and off accordingly to show if it’s activated power sources for increasing or decreasing temperatures. The interface is big, bright, and easily readable from across the room, so I don’t have to go over to the device and then press a button to light up the screen just to check the temperature- because I’d have to do this a high number of times around all 24 hours of the clock so that would not work. Inkbird has solved that problem with this controller. Set up really is quite easy after familiarizing yourself with the features and functions from the detailed instructions, which are actually clear, concise, and easy to understand. You shouldn’t feel perplexed and left in the dark as long as you can read a chart-style breakdown. Everything is in columns, rows, and in separate sections, with explanation of how to accomplish each setting. This may initially look complicated but it really is not at all. I was quickly on my way to plugging it in and taking comfort in the benefits of having this, but providing a sense of security for me is paramount in my providing optimum care for a live animal.

Tenp regulation for kegerator. Works perfectly
Using for Kegerator temperature regulation, as my Insignia would initially only get down to about 39 to 42F. First, I found a set screw on the thermostat in back. Removed plastic housing around thermostat. Turned screw counter clockwise multiple times. This made it too cold, and rather than being careful and doing it slowly, figured it's best to have an actual regulator! Now I have the keg plugged into the regulatory, plugged into the wall. Set at 37 degrees with the probe sitting in cup of water on top of keg. 37 because at the bottom of the kegerator will likely be about 32 then, so the temp difference won't lead to freezing hopefully. Works great and easy.

Easy to Setup and Install
I am using this Temperature Control for my Server Rack Fans. You need to read the instructions (and keep for future use) to understand the codes for programming....nothing too difficult. It works well so far!
