It cuts and bends as expected. I'd recommend this tool. Only gripe is handle/pole can come out of its hole/socket when in use. So during operation the solid steel (not hollow) pole is a bit loose/sloppy in its socket. However it's secured when stowed in its holder (which is mounted to the board). Still a great tool. I thought about replacing the solid steel handle with tubular chromoly, but realized it would only marginally reduce overall weight.
