Review: Best money saver ever - I purchased Plasti Dip ReRack Dishwasher Rack Repair. I notice brown spots in sides of my correll plates so I looked in dishwasher and sure enough rust. I can't afford to replace the rack right now much kess whole dishwasher. So I bought this and followed the directions. I am so glad I went this route. Worked like a dream. Was easy to apply and dried in record time. I did allow more time than it called for just to make extra sure it was completely dry. I will eventually buy new dishwasher it is old but for jow a great product to help keep my dushes ftom getting rust on them. Now to figure out a way to get the rust off my dishes. It has been months and the rack repairs are still holding up. I recommend applying this in a well ventilated location as it does have a slight odor. I took the rack outside, did the application, and let it dry for four hours before putting it back in the dishwasher and there was no scent.

**Q: Is this Rerack better on badly rusted out spots than Uber Goop?**
A: Haven't tried Uber Goop, but Rerack worked for me.  I cleaned and treated the area with Must for Rust, then applied Rerack and let it dry.  Appears to be holding up, though the Rerack was lumpy in the bottle and took forever to get it stirred smooth before I could use it.  Other than that I am pleased.

**Q: Does this product actually stop or convert further. Corrosion of the rack? Or is it just cosmetic and to keep rust temporarily off your plates?**
A: My experience is similar to G.Wittenberg's. The coating wears off and rust reappears but when they $150 for a replacement rack, I'll keep using this product until the dishwasher croaks. While it lasts, the rust is kept off the dishes.

**Q: Is this any different than an outdoor latex based paint?**
A: This performs very differently. It is thick and non-drippy when applying.  It lasts great.  I put on multiple coats, and it has not budged.  Bought this in July 2019.  Run my dishwasher every day.  The repair looks the same as the day I applied it.  I can’t say this for other things outside my house that I’ve painted with outside latex paint.

**Q: Can I use it inside of a washer? Paint got off little and it causes rust.**
A: I used it on the dish racks and it worked fine. You need a few days because it is best to apply in light layers.If you have rust spots on the dish washer walls I would think you should try to clean with a good cleaning product and if that does not work I believe Rerack will work. Again apply in light coatings letting it dry between each coats.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well; but be patient

I have an older dishwasher that works great; but the lower rack that holds the plates was leaving a rusty spot on the edge of the plates. The coating was wearing off the bottom of the tines; but the cost to replace the racks was much more than I wanted to shell out. The price of this product was reasonable and just the right size bottle to do the job I needed to do. It is important to remove as much rust as possible from the area to be repaired. I used both sand paper/emory cloth and a small grinding bit with my Dremel tool to do the job; then wiped the cleaned spots with alcohol. The liquid is very thick; almost too thick and I was doing this on my garage work bench; so I warmed the bottle up in my pocket; which helped some. It is very sticky and clings to the applicator brush. Not hard to use; but be patient and allow it to dry at least 30 min before applying a 2nd coat. Be sure to do the job in a well ventilated area and you should wear latex gloves as well. So far this product has worked well and I can recommend giving it a try before spending $100's of dollars to replace the rack.
