There are several products that are more economical, and I heavily considered them, but this is exactly what I wanted and worth the extra price- simple to install with no distortion or quality loss. As I was setting it up I read from the instructions that line of sight without obstructions such as walls is preferred, up to 130 feet. My setup is only about 40 feet, but the receiver is on one floor and the component is on another. I was concerned, but within about 10 minutes it was working and flawless.
