God goes to great lengths to rescue lost and hurting people. That is what The Story is all about: the story of the Bible, God's great love affair with humanity. Condensed into 31 accessible chapters, The Story sweeps you into the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events from Genesis to Revelation. Using the world’s most popular modern-English Bible, the New International Version, and printed in the exclusive Zondervan NIV Comfort Print® typeface, it allows the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible to read like a novel. Like any good story, The Story is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance, and redemption—and this story’s true! Features: Selections from the accurate, readable, and clear New International Version (NIV) Events, characters, and teachings of the Bible are arranged chronologically Short transitions between each chapter to connect the reader to the continuing story Timelines of Bible events Foreword by Max Lucado and Randy Frazee List of characters and who they are Discussion questions for each chapter Exclusive Zondervan NIV Comfort Print typeface 11.5-point print size The Story can be read on its own, used in a small group, or as part of the 31-week church wide-campaign. Companion curriculum is also available. Using the accurate, readable, and clear New International Version (NIV) text makes the Bible accessible and easy to read. The NIV is the result of over 50 years of work by the Committee on Bible Translation, who oversee the efforts of many contributing scholars. Representing the spectrum of evangelicalism, the translators come from a wide range of denominations and various countries and continually review new research to ensure the NIV remains at the forefront of accessibility, relevance, and authority. Every NIV Bible that is purchased helps Biblica translate and give Bibles to people in need around the world. Review: A great way to get an overview of the whole Bible - My wife was talking to some ladies who commented, “Have you ever read through the whole Bible? Every one who I know has done that said it was life changing. Do you think it would be for me?” That was the beginning of a revolution and revival in our community. Approximately 100 individuals went through this book and the videos over the next four years, some several times. They now see the big picture of the Bible and “His Story”. People who had attended church for years and always felt inadequate in their Biblical knowledge, now had confidence and even felt comfortable enough to teach others. Several accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Yes, reading through the Bible does change lives. The format sticks to using scripture in whichever version you choose. We found, that since most of the folks participating were not scripturally advanced, reading in NIV or New KJV was better than the archaic language of the KJV. It uses blocks of scripture with a paragraph or two of connecting explanation every couple of pages. It picks up the highlights of the story of God’s plan and hand on the world. I does not include every chapter of the Bible. Janet found that some folks would read the whole chapter on their own, but she also took time to read it aloud to the whole group after they had watched the short video. She also taught them as they read through and answered their questions. As they completed the study, most wanted to turn right around and do it again with the new under they had. And a couple groups even tackled actually reading the Bible verse by verse all the way through. The videos are 10 minutes or so apiece, and work well to do at the beginning of the sessions. We highly recommend this for any Christian denomination as it is simply reading the Bible. Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Beautiful Way to Experience the Bible’s Big Picture - This book is absolutely incredible. The Story takes the entire Bible and presents it as one seamless, flowing narrative — making it so much easier to understand God’s plan from Genesis to Revelation. It’s written in a way that keeps you engaged like a true story, while still staying faithful to Scripture. I’ve read the Bible many times, but this version helped me see how every part connects — how God’s hand, grace, and love are woven through every chapter. It’s perfect for both new believers and lifelong Christians who want to deepen their understanding of the Bible as a whole. The layout is clean, the pacing is perfect, and the tone is inspiring. It really brings the people, promises, and purpose of God’s Word to life. A must-read for anyone who wants to see how their story fits into His story. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #4,253 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #5 in Christian Preaching (Books) #8 in Evangelism #8 in Christology (Books) | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 7,839 Reviews | ## Images ![NIV Hardcover, Comfort Print - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/618Ep185+AL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Language, Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great way to get an overview of the whole Bible *by C***F on April 23, 2024* My wife was talking to some ladies who commented, “Have you ever read through the whole Bible? After seeing them in store however, it appears that that is just how they are produced. Other than that, it seems to be a well made book. I like the idea of making the Bible read similar to a novel. Reading this helps to give more understanding when reading the actual Bible. ## Frequently Bought Together - NIV, The Story, Hardcover, Comfort Print: The Bible as One Continuing Story of God and His People - The Story Bible Study Guide: Getting to the Heart of God's Story - NIV, Story of Jesus, Paperback: Experience the Life of Jesus as One Seamless Story (The Story) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/309661704-niv-hardcover-comfort-print](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/309661704-niv-hardcover-comfort-print) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
