However, this book does touch on most of the material and does so in and easy to understand way. To me, this book is a very good high level overview of what to expect as well as a decent means to get yourself acquainted with the new features of Windows 10. To which point it does get down into some detail about many of the new features in Windows 10. Also, I did find the test questions to be particularly helpful. I am using cbtnuggets in conjunction with the study guide, which covers more in-depth what the book didn't. Overall, I would recommend the book, but you will definitely need to put in more work beyond just reading the book and reviewing the test bank. Lots of familiarity with the OS and practice/hands-on is a must. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Decent, but blatant omissions and errors plague a students overall confidence. *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 24, 2016* It's unfortunate that for a certificate study guide there seems to be quite a few errors and omissions that somehow got past both the author, editor, and publisher. I really wanted to rely on this book as the 'bible' for this certificate, but I'm at page 121 (of almost 500) and found some blatant mistakes/errors.The obvious one that is even mentioned here on Amazon is that the link to register the book and get supplemental material was printed wrong in the book. Use the link listed here on the book landing page, and then go through the obscure process of registering the book, getting an account, trading emails, to finally get to the stuff. Extra steps for no real reason.So, you want some examples?- Pg 121 author references 'Tool' that there are three of them, yet the book only outlines 2 of the 3, skipping over 'Backup' altogether.- Pg 45. Review question #4 refers to the correct answer as 'Device Stage'. I defy anyone to show me where 'Device Stage' is listed in the book...not the chapter, not the glossary, nowhere.- Pg 82. Author says the 'Next 3 exercises will help in creating virtual hard disks" starting with Exercise 2.7. The next 2 exercises are completely omitted, not even mentioned or referenced. Instead New Topic 'Creating Virtual Machines' is introduced. Huh?- Pg 154. Exam Question 4 inquires about 'features' of dynamic disks solely for Win 10. Explanation of Answer "D" (pg 496) instead talks about supports of all Win OS's that doesn't even come close to the Answer D on pg 155. This answer is way out of context.- Pg 298. Chap 6 Exam Question 10. According to the answer key on pg 499, the correct answers are B & C. However, the choices provided for C & D are exactly the same....WORD FOR WORD. So technically, B, C & D are correct since C & D are the same answer.There are a few others as well, but that's not a great sign when you are only 1/5th through the material and you can locate some pretty major errors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars The most helpful book I read getting ready for the MCSA *by J***X on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 9, 2018* I found this to be the most helpful book I read in preparation for the exam. The one suggested by MS is ok, but as others have noticed it mostly redirects online to dig deeper into topics, whereas this one does the digging in the book itself. The chapter-end quizzes were good, but the online material was the most helpful. Flash cards and several tests were available, either open-book with clues or exam-style, and these helped build my confidence before the exam.I do not work in an enterprise environment. This book, and the one by Bettany & Warren, were the only ones I used to prepare for the exams, and pass on the first try.
