Now, ~20 months later, the batteries are totally dead, and won't charge. The assembly of this model makes that battery replacement complicated, as half of the device needs to be uninstalled from the wall to make this happen.____________Original Review:I installed mine on the inside of an outdoor shed, with the solar panel mounted on the roof just next to the side wall. I had to drill a small hole for the cable to go through; it's got a connection on the end similar to the type of power charging cable that would plug into a laptop computer. I sealed the hole with DAP sealant (caulk / similar to white silicone). I've had rain in the mean time and the light still works.The light turns on automatically when I open the shed door. There are adjustments for the ambient light level (minimum) after which it will turn on if it senses motion, and there is a control for the duration of light before it switches off automatically.The light is bright enough for the inside of my ~2m x 4m shed.The one downside (hence a missing star) is that the location of the batteries in conjunction with the way that the light head assembly mechanism is mounted to the main unit makes it quite difficult to remove the battery pack from the light once the unit is installed. I gather that in the future I'll need to replace the batteries at some point, and this will be tedious. I opened the battery unit before I assembled the light, and it required removing the bolts that fasten the light head bracket on to the light.
