Review: This was, is and always will be the bible for mechanical/structural engineers. The content is very similar to the previous edition and an upgrade from 8e or below is not essential for what is actually in the book. my main difference for this version is actually the new straight formatting of the tables (i.e. no more turning the book sideways to read the tables). The tables is where I spend 99% of my time in and the reading of the tables is hugely improved by this feature. A final nice to have is the slight colouring that makes the viewing a bit more attractive.

This textbook was required for my engineering course and is considered a go-to reference in the field. It’s not light reading, but it’s incredibly comprehensive and detailed.
