How much media should I expect to fill these? Such as kdf and carbon.

Granular KDF Media is 171 Pounds Per Cubic Foot, Reticulated KDF Cubes are 22 Pounds Per Cubic Foot & Granular Activated Carbon is 20 Pounds Per Cubic Foot. A Cubic Foot = 1728 Cubic Inches of Media. An empty 2.5" x 10" Slimline Cartridge holds approx. 58.5 cubic inches of media, a 4.5" x 10" cartridge holds 135 cubic inches of media & a 4.5" x 20" cartridge hold 270 cubic inches of media. I'm not sure the faqs answered my question - I need to replace my housing that holds 4.5" x 20" filters - will this housing work?

Which deionizing resin would you recommend for this filter? I want to use for spotless rinse on car.

Hello, great question, thanks for inquiring with us! A 20" Big Blue Housing w/ Clear 4.5" x 20" Empty Refillable Cartridge and 5lbs of Resintech's DI Resin (search ASIN# B000X92KOC on Amazon to locate) should be a solid spot free rinsing system for you. You'll need to pick up some fittings for the Inlet & Outlet of your big blue housing at the hardware store for connecting a garden hose to the inlet/outlet ports of that housing.
