I used these for a handrail for an exterior stair. As price on this stair was a large consideration, I used readily available shelf and pole round stock for the rail. The curved seat that the rail sits in is for a much larger radius than what I was using, but a little work with a sharp chisel recessed the bracket into the railing. The seats weren't always square, but I was able to tweak them with pliers. I will have to wait and see how the weld holds up, they didn't all appear to be fully welded.
