Brach's Bobs Sweet Stripes Soft Peppermint Candy, Individually Wrapped Pieces, 3.9 lb Tub (350 Count)

A friend of mine is basically “addicted” to these mints. 🤭😂 I was perusing Amazon a couple of days ago, and saw this great price on these. The quality is so good. They’re soft, and slowly melt in your mouth. What’s not to love? You can catch these on sale, or put them on subscription and save even more money. In fact the deal was, if you spent more than $25, you can get these mints the same days as you ordered them!! can’t beat that! My friend was very pleased. I ordered them before 9 AM that morning and I had them by 5 PM. Mind you, I live over an hour away from a big city. Always fresh, never stale.

I bought this for a winter event. Classic taste of peppermint and the texture I remember from being a kid. Nice sturdy plastic carton to hold the candies. We are still eating them after 4 months of buying them and they are still fresh.

These Bob’s sweet striped peppermints are a favorite! My whole family is hooked on them. They are sweet and soft and not spicy like other peppermints. I have re-ordered several times.

I love airy peppermint candy. This tub was a wonderful treat to myself. The candy was slightly harder than Im used to, but I usually buy off brands. The candy tasted fresh and met my expectations. Excellent value for the amount of candy it contains. The tub will last a long time.

These are great! I was craving peppermint since Christmas and the party I went to had these. So easy to carry in my purse or pocket and they don't get sticky like a candy cane would. Taste great.

Sadly these were not the puff peppermints that I remember that we’re large and would melt in your mouth, They are OK and you get a sizable amount. They just saddling up what I had hoped for,

Brach's Soft Peppermint 'dissolvable' candies are the perfect sweet treat and texture for what we all purchase them for. I make decorated organza gift bags for our area Assisted Living Facilities. With the softness of these candies, I never have to worry about a choking hazard from the hardness of other forms of candy, as these are perfect. Regular Brach's Starlight Mints are wrapped nicely for use in a gift bag, but they are too hard, and these are the delightful alternative. When I order these, I always order the larger tub of 350 pieces; I don't know why this size keeps popping up for review. The larger size is a better value and obviously stretches much further. The Facilities around me have about 40 to 50 residents each, so dividing them by count for each bag is simple, adds a lot of bulk, making your gift bag fuller and, hopefully, more fun while adding other small gift items. Everyone Loves these peppermints, so I bag them up for the staff, too. Why not? When it's time for a celebration, everyone is included! Whether it's a holiday, a birthday, or just May Day, there is Always a reason to gift the best, and these soft, dissolvable candies are just that!

This minor obsession with Bob's Sweet Stripes started at an after-Christmas sale. A major box store sold 160-count boxes of these mints for $1.50 a box -- originally $9. Unfortunately, I only purchased one box for my place of business, to keep it on my desk -- sharing them with coworkers. After all, a coworker that has minty-fresh breath is so much easier to talk with than one that doesn't. Everyone, including me, loved them. How quickly that first box disappeared. One of my coworkers liked the mints so much, once the first box ran out, he was nice enough to try to buy some replacement striped peppermint puffs. We all agreed they weren't the same. While confectionery in nature, they were harder and lacked the flavor Bob’s had. So, back to Bob's. Pros: The mints come well-packaged. At roughly 1/2" wide by 1" tall, they’re individually wrapped and will stay fresh. They have an interesting consistency in that there is a somewhat harder minty sugary shell with an inner softer confection that melts quickly once the outer shell starts to disintegrate in your mouth. The peppermint flavor is strong, but not overpoweringly so. It's simply perfect and very easy to pop one after the other. Watch out... Bob's Sweet Stripes are addictive--which is why I ultimately had to go with the more expensive 350-count box, as I knew they'd go just as fast as the 160-count box. Cons: If I HAD to offer any cons (there really aren't any, IMHO), it would be how quickly they melt... lasting roughly over a minute or, just slightly longer, in your mouth. It all depends on whether you suck on them, or, when you get to that softer center, bite on them for that quick burst of peppermint. However, that's part of the charm of these mints. Other similar puffs I tried were too solid (for a soft confection) and didn't have nearly the flavor that Bob's does. Recommended Purchase: So, I usually finish up my reviews with the million-dollar question of whether I recommend purchasing this item. I think it goes without saying any further... but I will anyway... ABSOLUTELY! Bob's Sweet Stripes are simply a delectable treat that you, and others who like peppermint, are guaranteed to enjoy. Get a lot if you plan to share. They'll go fast. In case you're wondering, I paid the Amazon-advertised price for this product. I only write reviews for items I personally use and test. Great for that sweet tooth and to freshen breath after a meal! Gave my mother half she loves them.

I tasted 1 when it arrived & I'm reminded of a review that says this is hard candy. I think most people associate soft candy as chewable/biteable. This is more like "porous" so after a few seconds, it breaks into smaller pieces.
