Once our twins were about 6 months old, those square soft little baby towels we got as a shower gift stopped working. I ordered two of these based on the reviews, tried them and promptly ordered two more. We use them every single night (depending on how messy dinner is, sometimes twice a night!). They are thick - they started soft and get softer with every wash. The hood is centered on the side of a full sized towel, which is what you need when you're trying to dry off a squirming toddler!
