Once you put the zymox into the ear, rub your dogs ears kind of in a circular motion to help massage the solution down into the ear canal, and then just let it sit and do it's thing. Over time there will be less wax build up to clean out before applying the ointment. I now put it in my dogs ears about once every 10 to 15 days, just as maintenance and care, without needing any wax clean up before hand or afterwards. **Q: Is this supposed to be liquidy/thin like water (not thick)?
