The coverage for a pint (500ml) would be half that of the quart; 75 to 100 sq ft. The coverage will vary depending on porosity and whether or not the product is thinned. Thinning the first coat (about 10%) is recommended for use on unsealed plaster or raw timber.

Has anyone used this product on painted walls? am i right that i can be used on walls? thanks.

Yes you can use it on painted walls. It would bean excellent protective finish on murals. It comes in different sheen finishes. I used it in my bathroom and kitchen. I painted my walls semi gloss and had a small architectural wallpaper border put up. I used the semi gloss Polyvine on my border to protect it from moisture, heat, etc. and it also protects it from fading.

Does this work to seal and protect wallpaper in a bathroom?

We wallpapered our bathroom in book pages and sealed it with this product. It’s been over a month and so far it’s fantastic.

When you use it on wallpaper, does it discolor or leave stain marks on it?

I have never used it over wallpaper But a lot on stains and paint and it doesn’t on those...dries clear

I would buy this if you need to protect a project

This was easy to use and clean up. We applied over wallpaper in a steamy bathroom. Product went a long way. Excellent results.

Good product but not for all crafts.

Have not used on furniture yet. Have used with crafts.Painted ornaments works fine. On decoupage pieces done with regular decoupage paste works fine. Do not us on pieces done with the plastic wrap iron on method it bubbles.

Does a great job

Too bad it's so expensive! Need to find a US based alternative. Two coats gave a fair amount of protection but three coats really "sealed" the deal :)

Worked great to seal our wallpaper.

Small bottle and doesn't go very far. Enough to protect our wallpaper backsplash and the walls surrounding our wallpaper wall surrounding our vanity. That's it for 35 bucks. No cheap but, seems to have done the job.

Perfect wallpaper protection

I used this varnish to protect the wallpaper around the sink and the toilet for my hair salon. It didn’t change the look and the texture of the wallpaper whatsoever. Very easy to apply. Definitely use it again if I have another opportunity.

Wrong finish sent

This product does provide a nice water-resistant finish on wall paper. I ordered the matte finish and received the satin finish--the bottle said satin, but the sticker said matte. I didn't realize it was mismarked before i used it, but the results are OK for my application.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Amazing varnish, accidentally chose a matt finish emulsion paint to go on wood doors and the is varnish seals it so easily, very quick drying and easy to use! Great varnish for DIY projects

I have used this when painting furniture to seal and protect standard emmulsion paint. It gives a similar effect to using a gloss paint but somtimes you don't want to buy a whole new tin of gloss
