The hour and minute hands are clear. And have little white tips. So it can be hard to read. Doesn’t glow in the dark. So if it’s dark you will not be able to read the time without a light. Is water proof but don’t take a bath in it or a very long shower. It’s an awesome watch that keeps on going. And it’s an attention getter and a beautiful time piece to wear. It’s automatic so with the movement of the wrist it will keep it ticking for years to come. Fossil makes truly quality products that can stand the test of time. But with the Relic Damon Automatic. You’re going to have to care for it. Take it off when showering. Wind it about 3 rotations to 15 a day. And treat it like it’s a Rolex and it will last you for a very long time. There is no battery. So you will never have to worry about your time piece going dead on you. If you can get past you can’t read it in the dark. And it will take a little learning curve to learn how to read it. It’s a beautiful design and a wonderful time peace with a beautiful mechanical display front and back. This watch will serve its purpose and you will look good wearing it for years to come.

I was quite unsure when I bought this watch, because I had read certain reviews. There seemed to be quality control issues, and if you got a good one you were in good shape, but that it was a crapshoot. However, many of the main complaints that I read were from many years ago, so my hope was that they had had time to iron out the kinks. I don't know if that's true or not, but I do know that it works perfectly! I've been wearing it daily for months now. It keeps time very well, and the "auto-wind" functionality is perfect. I genuinely couldn't be happier. And on top of all of that, it looks GREAT! Sometimes I enjoy just watching the little flywheel snap back and forth, it's quite mesmerizing. I also found that the "band squeaking" complaint is not an issue. After wearing it for just a day, giving it a chance to break itself I'm, there was no longer any band noise. I have not tested the waterproof-ness, because I'm not willing to risk destroying it. I just take it off before showers or swimming. There is no backlight or glowing material, so it's difficult to read in low light. These are small complaints, all things considered. I definitely recommend this watch for anybody looking for a really handsome, mechanical watch without breaking the bank. I will likely get another one after this one breaks. (Providing it lasts long enough)

Beautiful watch, I've only had it a short time so I have no option about durability. 1st impressions are favorable though.

I believe what they listed was lug to lug distance which is indeed 50 mm. The watch is very interesting and is very beautiful (and artistic). It’s certain to attract attention. I just received it yesterday, so haven’t had the time to experience other’s opinions in regard to this watch. So far, it’s kept time rather accurately. I don’t expect it to be perfect as the accuracy of mechanical watches are not (typically) that of quartz movements. The hands (hour and minute) are very difficult to see. This has to be a design flaw because this renders the watch as not useful in situations where you need to see the time- you can always just use your phone, I assume (as I tend to do often). Of note, the second hand is quite visible and the minute hand is next (with respect to visibility), while the hour hand is least visible. My title (above) mentions the size of the watch. I was rather hoping for a 50 mm Case Size. Also, the watch is very thick. Ideally, a thinner and bigger version with hands that stand out (visibly) would have been perfect for me. I’m keeping this watch because I do like it - it’s growing on me fast. This is my first mechanical watch. While I realize it’s not a very high end watch, it appears well built (enough); and, is certainly so eye catching that my fascination with the watch movement has been stimulated. I am though considering substituting the leather (brown) band with a heavy (probably gold tone) metal bracelet one- I think that will give it a more all around thick appearance, balancing the thickness of the case with the band better. This watch is beautiful, it’s the first automatic watch I’ve owned and it comes at a very competitive price point. The automatic movement doesn’t necessarily hold its “charge” for a long time, if I leave it sitting for more than a day it stops ticking but that’s not a big deal. I will say that the watch looks darker in person, compared to its pictures. It looks like a lighter shade of grey in pictures but when I got it, it seemed a little more black/ dark gunmetal. Still a beautiful time piece.

I wanted an automatic skeleton style watch, so I started to look around online. The $60 price was right for me, as I don't have a huge budget to spend on a decent watch. I feel like the other reviews for this watch on Amazon are spot on, please take a look at those, especially the review which includes a video of the watch movement. I would disagree about being too big though, for me it feels great and does not bother me at all. I only have a couple of complaints about this watch: 1: It does not glow in the dark well enough. I watched a movie over the weekend, and I could not see the hands or hours dots at all. If you charge the watch under direct light, expect it to last about 15 minutes at the most. 2: My watch is about 20 seconds fast per 24 hours (it gains time). I've only had this watch about 3 days, so it's possible it will "break in" and slow down a bit. 6 seconds fast is considered to be acceptable even by more expensive brands, so even if it stays around 20 seconds fast for $60 I'm not going to lose sleep over it. (UPDATE 3/17/14 The watch is now only about 2 or 3 seconds fast per day. I had to demagnetize the watch, which was making it run very fast.) Even though this Relic watch is not perfect, I don't really care. I still love it, and I will for years. This watch really does have the feel of a much more expensive watch. It wouldn't have surprised me at all to see a $300 price tag sitting on it.

Beautiful watch. I got it as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend. It works well, but the package arrived damaged and I believe it resulted in the scuff marks I found on the back of the watch. There is no protective packaging around the box, so it too is scratched and dented. This may have been a delivery issue rather than an issue with the seller, but regardless, there should be a protective layer between the box and the very thin paper bag it arrived in. Will likely return.

Watch is nice enough. Yes it needs to be wound regularly if you don’t wear it on a daily basis. However, the watch I received loses approximately 5 minutes a day and I will need to take it for tuning. Overall I enjoy it as a statement piece, I do wish the band was a little longer since I have relatively thick wrists.

Los colores son muy llamativos se ve de muy buena calidad y se mantiene a tiempo durante un par de días sin uso. El extensible es de piel y los detalles en dorado de la carcasa y la maquinaria le dan un toque muy especial. Me gustó mucho y la relación calidad/precio para mi es bastante alta.

The watch is beautiful, but has it's drawbacks. It's a fingerprint magnet and the strap makes lots of noise (maybe with time it'll stop). The movement is really smooth and precise.
