The gum rubber and neoprene surfaces feel great to play on, and the rebound is very natural. It helps build technique without stressing your hands or wrists. I also appreciate how sturdy it is—it stays put while playing and feels durable enough to last a long time. It’s perfect for home practice, warming up before rehearsals, or even throwing in a bag to take on the go. Quiet enough for apartment use, but still gives that satisfying response drummers want. Very nicely made. Came with no defects on the wood. Solid practice pad with a nice, thick rubberized pad. The pad has the pre-drilled hole in the back to attach to a stand. I’ve tried several different brands and I recommend this particular one for practicing your rolls, etc..
