In my opinion, no. Whilst this is no doubt, a high quality fan, like all other fans, it will just blow warm air around a warm room. I do own one of these and I'm totally happy with it but I think by reading your question, perhaps a fan that you can add ice cubes or cold water into it would better suit your needs.
