Really does the job! Super happy with the results!
This Clear Coat is Amazing! I watched a few videos and a number of them recommended this clear coat and now that I've used it, I recommend it too. I have a 2014 Honda CRV with 203K miles and the pain was look pretty bad especially on the hood. I did some light sanding, cleaned the surfaces and then applied the coating. It is so easy to use - hold it about 2-3 inches from the surface and move quickly and smoothly it gives a nice clear seal. I am extremely happy with the results. And you can put on a more than one layer. Great value too, if you have the time to do it yourself. And, many videos said I had to remove all that white spaul around the worn areas. In some cases I could not sand it out and this product covered it 95% or better. Dries very quickly. Nice and shiny. and seems as durable as the original coating. If you've got an older vehicle and don't want to pay a ton to get the paint in shape so it does rust or further deteriorate, give this a try. Pro tip - get a tack cloth and once you're done with sanding and cleaning the are you plan to coat, give it a good going over with a tack cloth. My first time to use one, but what a difference in "cleaning" the surface.

Works great
This stuff works perfectly, Excellent. Any paint can should be left in the sun if you want it to spray better. Lay a light tack coat 1st then 10mins later medium coat 3rd coat wet and bam get my results

I was on the fence, now I'm done with it. A "clear" failure over time.
UPDATE: downgraded to 1 star. I've gone through 2 cans of this product now. Pros: easy to use, good coverage, good flow, extended pot life in can. Cons: shrinks back more than expected, may (WILL) crack like old lacquer, somewhat temp and humidity dependent. I (was) thrilled with the long-term pot life of a 2K in a can. I had used a single can on various events over the course of 3 months. As long as the cap is cleared after use, it will keep working until gone. The downside IS surface failure. I've had 2 parts develop surface (clear) cracking after extended dry time (approximately 3+ weeks.). The finish looked great initially, then over an extended time it appeared to shrink and crack. This reminded me of old lacquer = not desirable. (UPDATE: all items this product was applied to now are showing finish failure, up to 10 months after application at this time.) Month's later, every item I had used this product on has had "cracking" appear. Doesn't matter if only 2 coats, or up to 4 coats were applied. Fine aged lacquer style cracking has appeared. $25 per can has now cost me hundreds in return repair work. Chalk it up to wanting an easy product. It is so strange, there isn't an adhesion issue, as the clear is stuck to the surface, but the clear appears to be a brittle surface. Possibly it can't withstand temperature changes, IDK. I really question if this is a true 2K urethane. I'm not a chemical engineer, but it is unlike all other catalyzed urethanes I continue to use. Maybe I got a couple bad cans form a bad formula batch, idk. Makes me sick thinking about this stuff. I wish it were as good as the marketing presents, but it's not working for me.

Better than spraymax
I really like that this doesn’t harden within 24 hrs. I haven’t had any reaction problems with it, it does harden pretty good for a spray can but still slightly softer than traditional 2k just based on how it sands out after 24-48 hours. It dries clear with no tint even on light colors. I found this great for small interior or engine bay pieces where I don’t want to mix, spray and clean a gun out. It flows out nice and dries to a high gloss most of the time doesn’t even need cutting or buffing after but you can if you want. Its big appeal is that it doesn’t have a mix like spraymax does and so it last a long time in the can making it more user friendly.

Awesome clear works great.
Quality product wish it was cheaper. Would buy so much more of it if it was cheaper. If it was 18 bucks or something like that I would have no problem buying a ton of it. I refinishing wheels and paint cars and this is most definitely the best clear u can get in a can and love not having to be all used immediately because of the 2 part system but again just so expensive. Will definitely use again just on the more needed things when I'm not using my spray gun for clear if I am in need of easy to use no mixing will definitely be using this. So easy to use . The finish is awesome for a spray can. Again only problem I have is how expensive it is . Maybe use larger cans so there's more in there for the 30 bucks or make it so we can buy larger packs with a discounted price. Cause I would love to buy a good amount and I would be a consistent buyer at a discounted price . But the 30 bucks for 1 can is so much!

Great Product if you know how to use it...Follow the Instructions and it is Fantastic
If you follow instruction and apply correctly this is a fantastic clear coat! If you are a novice you may have to experiment to get the application right but once you master it this is a great product. I do quite a bit of vintage car work and for the early cars with faded clear coat this product is one of the best to use.

Great stuff
Started with one small patch of bodywork ended up painting my whole truck lol in my garage out of a rattle can turned out amazing. A little advice through trial and error.. You’ll get better results….. If you do the first two coats rather light and the third and final coat is your “wet coat” go a little heavier. But not too heavy you’ll get runs. Excellent product.

Disappointed. Spit to many impurities from inside the can.
I've been spraying base/clear custom paint jobs for over twenty-five years. I purchased this product with hopes of using it as convenient alternative for having to mix 2K clears and cleaning up my professional spray equipment for small jobs. I tried this product out on a test sample (photo attached) I had properly prepared and base coated Per the instructions on the can, I shook it for three minutes and sprayed the CAR-REP 2K clear onto my test sample in my usual dust free space. Tiny bits of particulate spit from inside the can onto the sample even after a couple of clearing passes aimed well aside of the work. This is a deal killer for me given the whole point was to save myself some time and effort on small jobs. If I'm going to have to buff the clear out anyway, this negates the convenience of using a rattle can. Perhaps I just got a bad one and this isn't typical. Some good things about this product is it reportedly has many of the properties of the two component poly clears without the limited user time once they've been mixed. It also dries to the touch with a wet looking high gloss luster in 20 minutes--specks and all. In summary, I'll use the balance of the can I received (late by the way) to clear coat and protect some things I don't care as much about achieving a flawless base/clear finish on. With some polishing after it's fully cured, I'm sure this clear would render a pretty decent finish however.
