There is a filler in there which you can punch out with a screwdriver. Do note that many models of LED whips have a quick disconnect for power in-line of the power cable. The quick disconnect connectors may not fit through the hole on the spring base. Hope this helps. **Q: Will this work with a regular 1/2" fiberglass whip antenna?** A: As long as your antenna has the same thread pattern yes. **Q: Do you offer these in black?** A: Sure **Q: 1/2 base hole way to big is there an adapter I can use to make it work , most CB antenna are 3/8** A: You can consider purchasing a pushing to make the two thread sizes work.
