Removed from freezer and placed in fridge to partially thaw for 10 minutes and they pushed out very easily. I hand washed the pan because sometimes rust can occur when pans are placed in the dishwasher. The depth of each cup is just slightly more than 1.5" deep. LOVE the pan but only gave it a 4 out of 5 because I wished it was closer to 2" deep. Otherwise, it is an ideal portion size following a meal.
