Not as fast as stock, but half the price and half the weight. *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2017* Apple's 87watt stock charger is great, but it's heavy and expensive so I wanted something smaller and lighter for work and traveling. Some reviews suggest this may not work well with a 2016 15" MacBook Pro but I was pleasantly surprised that MacOS sees it as a 45W unit and it charges my laptop without causing any of the malfunctions reported by others. Sure, 60W would be better but the USB-A port is rated at 10W so 45W for USB-C isn't unexpected.Of course it's noticeably slower than the stocker, but not so much that I'm constantly looking at the battery meter wondering what's taking so long. It charges at a reasonable rate while doing the usual (mail, web, documents) but if you're running heavy tasks like Final Cut, Photoshop or Unreal Tournament you can't expect this to keep up. Use the OEM brick.I'm deducting one star for the included USB-C cable. The ~3" of wire going into the plug boots at the end is very stiff and after three weeks of intermittent use one is already cracking right against the boot. A small drop of superglue is holding it but that wouldn't be necessary if the insulation were more flexible. Also, as others have mentioned once the battery is at 100% it disconnects and reconnects the charger every minute or so, which makes the laptop chime. MacOS is clearly happy with a 45W charger so I suspect it's a minor incompatibility in the charger firmware, but not enough to be a big deal. I have two units, both working, but my first purchased unit had two factory stamps of "Udoli" while the newer units only have one. The newer device is also slightly thicker, but otherwise seems identical. I posted a picture, the new device on the left. The older unit has been plugged in almost a month and still works.This unit is slim and has bonus of a standard USB output to charge your phone or tablet.
