Due to covid, arranging a call out was difficult, and even if we could find a suitable date, the call out charge was more expensive than this product.I have previously worked with much more expensive fibre optic tools, but this did the job every bit as well, stripping the shielding back cleanly and effectively and producing a very clean and effective cleave for termination. Cleaved multiple strands of fibre (main business ONT and a second used for public Wi-Fi) and this worked perfectly, first time.There are a few minor annoyances with this cleaver, the main one being the lack of a bin for the excess glass fibre to fall into. You need to be very careful and aware of where your waste is falling and dispose of it carefully to avoid glass fibre splinters, but got the price, this is a minor complaint. Although this will be used infrequently, I have no problems at all with the durability, and see no reason it couldn’t be part of a jobbing electricians, or network guys toolkit and used effectively on a daily basis.
