Will the final coating survive any contact with food?** A: 24 hours AFTER painted - place in oven one hour @ 175 degrees. A second curing a few hours later is sometimes helpful.Any contact with food in either direction is bad. (part to food / food to part)Make sure wife is out of town.Cook 2 or 3 pizzas one after another to help disguise smell. **Q: Paint scratches off very easily 2 days later, even after curing at 200 and 400 degrees. Prepped with degreaser and 150 grit sandpaper. What could I have done wrong?** A: You did not mention that if you used any primer…most paint requires that you prime the metal surface….and I would bet this high temp paint is no different and probably needs a high temp primer….I have yet to read the instructions but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it should be primed. **Q: Can I use this paint to spray the outside of a wood burning stove** A: I sprayed the outside of exhaust pipe on car, no issues whatsoever, and obviously exhaust pipe gets quite hot.
