It needs to be 2” in diameter (I use a PVC pipe). I don’t know how wide or heavy your impact screen is, but I question if this is the right hanging solution for you. It’s designed for lightweight backdrops, not golf ball resistant. ;) **Q: What sort of bar do you use with this?** A: I use 2" Sch 40 PVC conduit **Q: I currently use a single white 9 foot drop for now. I want only one hanger (space needs) Are they easy to change..say in 10 minutes?** A: Yes, they slide off the wall bracket hanger unit from small slots, then you unloosen the ends which allows the insert piece to slide out of the pvc pipe holding the background. You now can insert them into another pvc pipe with another background. You can change the rolls or just get extra ones and have all your backgrounds on separate rolls and all you have to do is slide them into the slot on the wall bracket hanger. I have 5 pvc pipes with different backgrounds and each has the roller wheel and chain, and all I do is switch them out.
