Great Fit
I took a nasty fall riding my mountain bike at Spider Mountain in Burnet, TX about three weeks ago that I'm still recovering from. One of those nasty falls that left me wondering why I even got into mtb riding in the first place, especially since I'm just a few years shy of reaching my 50th birthday. Three weeks later my shoulders, ribs, chins, ankles, hands, and just about everything still hurts. I wore a full face helmet that day and I still ended up with a mild concussion and even scraped my face up a bit. Yup, it was one of those falls. The only two areas that were spared of pain, bruising, or bleeding were my elbows and knees, and I attribute that to the Leatt knee and elbow pads I was wearing at the time. So instead of giving up on mtb riding, I decided to get some body armor. Knowing how well the other Leatt products worked on protecting me, I splurged on the Leatt 6.5 body protector. This armor feels and looks great! Looks to be of great quality and the fit is perfect. I'm 5'8" tall, weigh in at 220 lbs, wear size 34" jeans, and have a 48" chest. If you have a big chest like I do, go for the XL. When package arrived, it felt a little on the heavy side, but once I donned the armor, the weight was negligible. I took a quick spin around the block with this armor on, and it remained comfortable. I'll need to get a new jersey or something that's designed to fit while wearing body armor as all the clothes I have now fit too tight with this on. I'll come back and update my review on this product after I've worn it out on the trails a few times or after I take another spill. Whichever comes first ;-)

Outstanding
This is a high level of protection but is a bit bulky and heavy compared to other LEATT options. Very well made, it should fit snug! If you go for lighter, more comfortable option you won’t get this quality protection, that is the dilemma.

Great Body Armour
This is a great suit. I don't have time to write a novel, but here are the highlights: Pros - Great overall protection, even covers the side ribs with solid armour. Probably the best chest protector out there, and I've tried a bunch. - Not overly hot, decently ventilated. - Everything except the kidney belt stays in place. - Comfortable, and I don't even think about having it on when riding. - The bicep padding is a bonus, and I always get scratches from branches in that area. - Looks good. Cons - Kidney belt rides up, although it sort of helps to tuck the shirt into your pants, doesn't ride up so much. - Kinda heavy - Expensive - Need to wear a shirt under it as the the armpit area digs into your skin. But with a shirt it's not a problem. I wear a thin, moisture wicking 32 Degrees t-shirt under it.

Built like a Tank Solid Protection. Worth every $.
Did a lot of research prior to purchasing. The 6.5 is built solid. Feels heavy duty. Great compatibility with the 5.5 Neck Brace. The upfront cost for safety gear outweighs the cost of wishing you had it during an accident.

Well made.
I’m impressed with the build quality. I like this design where the armor is separate from the mesh under layer. Yes. It’s more expensive than the cheap Chinese made armor out there. But I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Great, but not for long
Chest is great, so is shirt except material will fail in less than a year. They do not sell the shirt separately nor do they sell shoulder pads.....

I absolutely love this armor.
The leatt 6.5 body Armor is the most comfortable armor I have ever worn. It is form fitting. And feel like it is worth the money. The material it uses feels strong, like it should last a very long time.

I was extremely excited to get this product but after one use was extremely disappointed. Pros- the roost and Under Armor offer great protection. Cons- Not as breathable is advertised. - straps cut into the neck - kidney belt is absolutely pathetic and rides up past your stomach. Overall it was disappointed just after one use of this armor it lacks the breathability that it's described the fitment was not what I thought it would be an overall it's just extremely uncomfortable I think you are better off just purchasing a chest protector with shoulders and purchasing your own elbow pads and kidney belt if desired if you're looking for an undershirt get a rash guard rather than getting something that has all the padding built in.

Freue mich jedes mal, wenn ich das anziehe.

Lo uso in MTB per discese. Non è leggero ma quando sali con bici elettrica influisce poco. La sensazione è di grande protezione e non limita nei movimenti.
