After reading of it slipping, I was prepared with a small square of grippy shelf-liner placed on the original seat prior to adding this, which (mostly) prevents it from sliding around. It does occasionally shirt, but is easy to reposition, and holds that position fairly well. Win/win, and if you'll need a knee scooter for long, you will want this. Update: After only two weeks, it is definitely showing signs of wear. It now sports a permanent indention where my knee resides.
