A: The 2005 545i uses 5w30 or 0w40 when in temperatures over 50 degrees F.

**Q: Is this good for an old/worn opel zafira b 1.9 cdti, or is it a bit too thick for the system?**
A: I’m sorry I don’t know about your particular car however it went into my 2020 Shelby gt 350 easily, as it is the required viscosity. The oil was not thick like the old 20/50 weight oil it was actually easy to pour. The oil pressure typically runs over 100 lbs in the Shelby if that helps.
