Review: Just what I was looking for. - I have an old whisky jug that my Mom converted to a lamp about 50 years ago. I remember the rubber insert that fits into the opening on the neck had to be cut down to fit. Fast forward to today and the rubber insert has dried out and keeps falling out. This kit came with multiple inserts of different sizes and one fit the jug perfectly. Great quality and looks good too. Highly recommend!
Review: Great kit for those not wanting to drill - Loved having the option of not drilling into the bottle. The rubber bottle inserts(?) were a little too big for my project, had to shave it down a bit, but ended up exactly how I had imagined. I also switched out the harp for one I already had because it was a little too tall. Either way it was easy to assemble. I will definitely buy more for future projects.

**Q: What is the outer measurement of the treaded nipple? I’m replacing the socket and cord of an antique lamp.**
A: No

**Q: How do you know which side of the cord is rubbed and which is smooth? Neither looked robbed to me.**
A: The ribbed side of the lamp cord has grooves in the side of the cord which can be felt by running your fingernail down the side of the lamp cord.

**Q: How long is the electric chord?**
A: I'm fairly sure it's 6'.  I have a lot of it crammed up in my bottle and still about 3 feet to the plug.

**Q: Does this have a drill bit piece to cut through the glass bottles?**
A: No it does not come with a drill bit for drilling holes in glass.
