GIMILI Matte Black Touchless Kitchen Faucet with Spring Pull Down Sprayer

This faucet has been a serious game changer. We are over the moon happy with our new Gimli Touchless faucet in our kitchen. We hadn't realized how convenient it was to not have to manually turn on/off the water. Not only do you not have to set down what's in your hands, but you also save the hassle of having to do the hand gymnastics to operate the faucet in a way that prevents whatever's on your hands from getting on the faucet, saving the work to clean it. Besides the touchless operation we also like: * the pull down sprayer is super helpful when cleaning the sink or rinsing dishes off. We came from a faucet with a removable spigot which offered similar functionality, but it was cumbersome and its resting place was that of a traditional faucet and was harder to return to its spot. The hose is long enough to reach the furthest corners of the 33" Ruvati workstation sink we have so there's plenty of length. * you can move the faucet completely out of the way as it will swivel as far to the right/left as you wish * the matte black finish is immaculate and appears very durable. Time will tell, but at this point it looks like it will look this nice for a long time. All parts * Gimli also sells a filtered water spigot and a soap dispenser in the same finish so everything matches * the touchless feature can run off of batteries (4 AA) or via A/C adapter. * installation was straightforward. The hardest part of the installation was making sure that with all that was installed (faucet, filtered water spigot, soap dispenser, garbage disposal on/off button, water hoses, battery pack for faucet) that the pull down feature worked correctly and the weight wasn't obstructed. Things to consider when purchasing: * The selector for hot/cold water will rotate away from the sink for cold water. Once our backsplash is installed it is likely that the full range of the cold water will be shorter. I popped off the rubber plug and unscrewed the set screw hoping to adjust the orientation of what "all the way cold" was such that we had the full range. However, the set screw affixes the selector to a square "cog" which requires a 90 degree adjustment rather than just a few degrees. My suggestion to Gimli would be to redesign this piece from being a square to more of a cog with teeth to allow a finer adjustment in this area. This is a minor concern and if it bothers me too much I'll make the 90 degree adjustment and deal with the fact that it will protrude into the sink when turned all the way hot. * the faucet appears to require power either from battery or A/C which if we move to the A/C adapter might pose a problem during a power outage. The power sources are swappable though so in a pinch we can switch them out. Even with the very minor thing of the hot/cold selector, we are completely happy with our purchase. The faucet is one of the things that sets off our kitchen. It's such a pleasure using the sink now.

I considered Kohl’s but was almost $350 and it didn’t have the motion sensor function. It took less than 15 minutes to install and works perfectly. The plumber who installed said it was well made. Not a lot of plastic parts that you find on some faucets that will fail. Both spray functions put out a nice force of water.

Great faucet! I’m now spoiled by the no touch operation of this faucet! Works flawlessly, reasonably easy installation as sink faucets go. I would 100% recommend this faucet!

Super nice but it was turning off while washing dishes. I turned the sensor to the side and it still looks great!

So its been over a year since we've installed this faucet and it was perfectly until just recently when the water pressure started to get low. Did all of the normal checks; unscrewed the sprayer and checked the screen inside, changed out the batteries in the hands free sensor box under the sink, checked the screen in the controller box that the sensor uses and nothing worked. Checked the pressures around the house and it was ok. Frustrated but loved this product when it was first installed so we didn't want to buy from another company so decided to contact the company directly so see if we've missed anything. I got in touch with Leah at GIMLI and we walked through everything we did. She then offered to send me another faucet head at no charge and after it didn't work, she had sent the sensor valve that the hands free used to close and open the water valve. She was in contact through the whole process and was very determined to set things right! I know it was just a kitchen faucet but the amount of attention and the offers to make sure I was satisfied was something I had to write about. It's so easy to do nothing when things go right but get so angry when things go wrong. We felt that a great review was necessary for this company as they had definately earned it! Way to go Gimli and especially Leah for a great customer service experience!

Easy install for a DIY home owner. I installed one in less than one hour, including the time to remove the old faucet. Be sure to use Teflon tape and check all connections for any leaks.

Like the product; however, just 2 years later the finish has started to flake so I would not recommend this faucet. I wish I had paid attention to where the sensor is. Since it is directly in front, it is often turned off when rinsing large items which is an annoyance.
