Fast, Reliable and Easy to Use
I recently added the TRENDnet 5‑Port Unmanaged 2.5 G Gaming Switch (TEG‑S350) to my home network, and it’s been exactly what I needed. Set-up was effortless—just plug it in and connect your devices—no configuration required. It’s fantastic to get true 2.5 Gbps speeds using standard Cat5e cabling, which has made transferring large files and gameplay streaming noticeably smoother. The build feels solid with its compact metal housing and passive, fanless design—completely silent in operation, just as advertised. I also mounted it under my desk without any fuss; having LEDs on each port helps with quick status checks. I’ve had no dropouts or connectivity issues using four devices at full 2.5 Gbps speeds, and it handles traffic consistently. One con: It does get warm when under sustained heavy use. It’s fanless so no noise, but the heat build‑up is noticeable—just something to keep in mind if you plan to push it hard for long periods. Overall, this switch delivers excellent value—rock‑solid performance, ultra‑easy setup, and a discreet design. Perfect for upgrading your home or small office network to multi‑gig speeds.

Good investment.
I ordered this a couple of years ago and plugged it full of stuff. It worked right out of the box and has not given me any issues at all. Everything works well.

An idiot-proof setup that provided a major boost to my home Ethernet.
I recently upgraded the Fiber high speed internet to my home to 2 Gigabits, but unfortunately, I didn't have the appropriate equipment to fully take advantage of those speeds. My newly acquired ASUS RT-AX88U PRO had both a 2.5 Gb WAN (to accept the 2 Gig speeds from my Fiber ONT) and a 2.5 Gb LAN port (to utilize on my local wired ethernet network), but this only gave me the ability to open up 2+ Gig speeds to one device in my home. Enter the TRENDnet 5-Port Unmanaged 2.5G Gaming Switch (TEG-S350). This simple little switch immediately enabled me to share that 2.5 Gb LAN port with 4 supported devices. Keep in mind you will need devices with 2.5 Gig NICs, or 10 Gig NICs that also support 2.5 Gb mode. The TEG-S350 is also backwards-compatible with older 1Gb and 100 Mb devices. The LEDs on the front of the TEG-S350 indicate whether you have a 2.5 GB link with a green light, or a 1 Gb/100 Mb link with an amber light for each port on the switch. The initial setup couldn't have been easier (simply plug in and go), but the pay off in a speed upgrade to my network was huge. The TEG-S350 is well constructed in what appears to be an aluminum chassis and does not feel cheap at all. Even though the switch is passively cooled I have not found it getting warm at all in the 3 months of usage thus far. I would definitely buy TRENDnet gear in the future and recommend it to my techie friends.

Good product with some issues
Product worked well, speed through the switch was fast, but I was unable to test to maximum speed. Hit 1Gb without any issues. After having the switch for about 2 years, one of the ports failed. Since they have a lifetime warranty, I contacted online support. They were very easy to work with and Trendnet quickly agreed to RMA the bad switch and replaced it at no charge. I did have to pay shipping to Trendnet.

Plug and play
This device has been a game-changer for my home network. Installation was incredibly simple—truly plug-and-play with no need for complex setup processes. After connecting it, I noticed an immediate improvement in network performance. It seamlessly manages my high-speed internet, providing a more stable and consistent connection across all my devices. Whether I’m streaming ultra-high-definition 4K videos, engaging in online gaming sessions, or running several smart devices simultaneously, this addition to my network handles it all without breaking a sweat. The improved range and signal strength have eliminated dead zones in my home, delivering fast and reliable internet to every corner. It’s not just a useful upgrade—it’s an essential enhancement that has taken my network’s capabilities to the next level.

Less expensive, smaller and performs just as well as QNAP's 2.5 GbE switch!
I have two 1Gb/s lines coming into my router which aggregates them giving me 2Gb/s downstream. In order to use that bandwidth, I needed switches that could sustain twice the bandwidth as mostly all of the switches on the market as of the time of this writing. I purchased QNAP's 2.5GbE 5 port switch a few months ago and it has been working really great for me. I've since needed to expand my network and chose to buy this TRENDnet 2.5 GbE unmanaged switch. In my experience, small unmanaged switches aren't that different from each other regardless of the manufacturer give or take the little things like aesthetics or whether they can be wall mounted. So I bought the least expensive 2.5Gbe switch for my network expansion. What struck when I opened the box was how much smaller it was compared to QNAP's (See pics). Both are fan-less, have steel housings, have 5 ports, and are wall mountable. So for all intents and purposes they have the same capabilities. The one thing that I could tell was different was the power requirements. The TRENDnet requires 12v coming in at 1.5a whereas the QNAP requires 12v coming in at 1amp. So if anything, the TRENDnet should be the larger of the two in order to accommodate larger heatsinks due to the higher current. But it's a nicely sized 5 port switch with the same surface temperature as QNAP's after hours of heavy traffic flowing through both of them. Peering into the vent holes on both routers shows a lot more empty space inside the QNAP. Perhaps the extra room is needed perhaps not. I'm not an electrical engineer. So for me, I'll take the compact one that is less expensive and more readily available. I'm super happy with the switch! As a matter of fact, the speed test results that I've included with this review is with the TRENDnet daisy chained behind the QNAP. No complaints from me. The price is reasonable and it works as it should.

Ik zocht een kleine 2.5Gbit switch die snel opstart. Dat werkt prima. Passief gekoeld, dus maakt geen lawaai

This is not a bad switch and runs cool as in temps. Looks to be well built and comparable to my other Netgear SWs. I connected one PC at 2.5G speeds and the light turned green.but It cannot sustain or achieve 2.5G because the rest of the network is at 1G so I doubt I will ever see 2.5G throughput until all devices are upgraded to 2.5G or higher. But it is fine not much more to say and been running solid since date of purchase a couple of weeks ago.
