I can easily see my 7 yr old reacting exactly as the MC did when she didn't draw her preferred color for the annual tradition of assigning colors. I love how she refuses to participate in any of the preparations for the festival but then is drawn into the story that inspires it. And I love that she is in turn inspired by that story to reconsider her own response. The colors are so vibrant.
