First of all, the handle does not want stay on as it should even after I make sure to snap it in place. Secondly, while it is shatter proof, the jar's plastic bends very easily. You'll want to make sure that it's not stepped on. It's a very thin plastic.I like that the jar's lid can be flipped open or screwed off. The lid gives off a nice glow in the dark. Make sure to place it under a lamp or in the sun for a few hours first. The top of the lid is a magnifier which is nice. It makes it easy to observe the bug inside. I also like that there are built in air holes.
