The product you are asking about - Bar's Leaks Heavy Duty Radiator Stop Leak (part number PLT11) - is designed to be installed directly into the radiator. If you don't have access to the radiator through a radiator cap, you can remove the top hose where it attaches to the radiator and install the product in through the hose. Be sure to shake the product well before installing. If installing this way is not an option for you, we would suggest you consider our Radiator Stop Leak Tablets (part number HDC) instead. These pellets can be crumbled up and installed in the overflow reservoir, as long as it is pressurized. Please note: Cooling systems that are dirty or partially clogged should be flushed before using any cooling system stop leak products. Cruising down the highway my engine started to overheat and I had to pull off onto the shoulder as this slow drip rapidly drained my radiator! Not wanting to spend what could be thousands. I spent a few bucks on this product with nothing but amazing results! I could not access my radiator, so I dissolve the product and poured it into the reservoir as instructed.
