The incredible EVOSAW380 chop saw slices through mild steel with ease. No heat and virtually no sparks, producing a smooth, burr-free, instantly workable finish. Unlike abrasive chop saws, the EVOSAW380 is the cleanest, fastest and most affordable way of cutting steel. Utilizing a powerful 15A motor and hi-torque gearbox, enabling the EVOSAW380 to handle even the most demanding on-site jobs. Ideal for cutting steel plate, square tube, angle iron, pipe, tube, and metal roofing. Optional 15” mild steel blade & 14” specialty blades are available for cutting thin steel, stainless steel, aluminum, wood & masonry. See below in related items for more info. This machine is very solidly built and very accurate out of the box. I checked the fence angle indicator with an angle guage and it was bang on. The blade is a true 90 with the deck. The only alteration was to replace the downward travel stop screw (existing-m8x1.25x50) with a m8x1.25x45 to allow a bit more travel down for maximum blade cutting width at the table. IF YOU DO THIS spin the blade by hand to make sure it is just clearing the chip collector drawer to prevent damage and embaresment. the supplied 66t blade works very well. my first cut was a 45 on 2inx3in tubing and with very minimal touch up I had a perfect 90. As for blade life I havent used the saw enough to say and I know from reading other reviews that I have to take it easy and let the blade do the work. Quite a change from hanging onto an abrasive saw trying to find the balance between max cut speed and blowing another breaker then either quenching or waiting for the piece to cool so you can start grinding the cut to some semblance of accuracy. This saw is 2-3 times faster and much more accurate than any abrasive saw that I have ever seen. Another huge added plus is much less crap all over the shop from saw and grinders. The saw produces chips which don't go far and I just swipe them up with a release type magnet. I did a fair amount of research before buying and features-quality AND GOOD PRICE sold me.

A: It's a 15 inch Steel Cutting Chop Saw.  It comes with a 14" blade.  I wouldn't even think about using a 10" blade.

Whats not to like? After years of using an abrasive chop saw this is heaven. This machine is very solidly built and very accurate out of the box. I checked the fence angle indicator with an angle guage and it was bang on. The blade is a true 90 with the deck. The only alteration was to replace the downward travel stop screw (existing-m8x1.25x50) with a m8x1.25x45 to allow a bit more travel down for maximum blade cutting width at the table. IF YOU DO THIS spin the blade by hand to make sure it is just clearing the chip collector drawer to prevent damage and embaresment. the supplied 66t blade works very well. my first cut was a 45 on 2inx3in tubing and with very minimal touch up I had a perfect 90. As for blade life I havent used the saw enough to say and I know from reading other reviews that I have to take it easy and let the blade do the work.
